Since the original inception of the Leamington Soccer Fields in 2007, adding a soccer field house has been an integral part of the master plan. The field house would provide shelter, washroom and change room facilities as well as concession and storage areas.

In November of 2015, Leamington town council approved the field house project with construction slated to start in early 2016.

The total value of the project is $708,000. The Municipality of Leamington is contributing $300,000, and Leamington Minor Soccer is providing an additional $150,000. The remaining funds are being covered by a portion of the one million dollar donation to the municipality made by Domino's Pizza of Canada CEO, Mike Schlater.

Marcovecchio construction, based in Ruthven, was chosen to design and build the field house.
